"It's always on a night like tonight I think that you can read my mind 'Cause when you look at me with those eyes
I'm speechless."
-Dan + Shay-
Dear Reader,
I've been waiting to share this post with you all since the day I found out that Jamie + Crystle chose me to photograph their wedding day! I can't wait to share all of the details that made their day the most family-committed day there ever was.
When asked what emotions or feelings they wanted to see in their wedding day, Crystle stated that they wanted a rustic, laid-back, and fun wedding day surrounded by their friends and family. She loved the thought of photos that would capture emotions of the day, which is another reason you will find a sweet mix of black and white photos in their collection. She also got a bit emotional thinking about marrying her future husband!
The newlyweds married at Wildcat Mountain in Gorham, NH. For those of you who have never experienced the majesty of the White Mountains in fall, it is truly a sight to behold. Although I can't share every single one of their photos with you, I'll share many wonderful moments that illustrate their day. And one thing is for sure, these two could not take their eyes off of each another!
As you may have seen in previous posts, Jamie + Crystle have a sweet blended family of four children. I love how much they were included in their wedding day! Rylie and Cadance were Crystle's beautiful flower girls and Bradley and Aiden were Jamie's handsome ring bearers. They have such a great family photo in this collection that I could not help but get teary-eyed at.
They also had some thoughtful details in their day, including a special kids-only food menu, fall florals, and all local vendors. During their ceremony, the family completed a sand ceremony to symbolize the merging together of their family. They now have a wonderful keepsake of their wedding day to place in the new home that they have purchased together. Jamie + Crystle also had an emotional first look on the balcony of the lodge overlooking the presidential range.
My very favorite part of their day however was 10 minutes before the ceremony when the bride and groom took time to thank each person in their wedding party with a gift. Crystle and Jamie each took a moment to talk about each individual and how much they meant to them. I myself was even included in this presentation, and it meant the absolute world to me. It felt that in this moment, all nerves in the room were suddenly calmed, including mine. I had been so worried about capturing my very first wedding that I wouldn't deliver exactly what Crystle + Jamie were looking for, and in this moment I realized that I already had.
I would like to thank the newlyweds for allowing me to share in their day! They had confidence in me from the moment they booked, and I will always cherish that. I'd also like to thank the other vendors that were a part of Crystle + Jamie's wedding team. It's always great to meet new people who are passionate about weddings!
What a fun day to celebrate forever!
Please enjoy this selection of Jamie + Crystle's wedding day.
