Anouk's First Winter
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Remember when you were a child and the first snowfall of the winter felt like magic? (for some of us it still does). Picture southern belle Anouk seeing snow, for the first time in her life!
The first thing she did was stick her nose right in it.
So many people have told me that Anouk looks like an African wild dog. I am certainly inclined to agree.
Nonetheless, it's snowing to beat the band out there right now! And Anouk, she's currently taking a long nap beneath my feet as I write this blog post. She played hard. Like she was never going to see the snow again! I advised her that this will continue on until probably mid-May, so take it easy.
Anouk is 8 months old now, and she still has puppy fur right under her ears and a woolly mane. If she's not African wild dog, then maybe she's part lion. It's anyone's guess.
I'm fully procrastinating my last final and presentation for the semester right now. I mean, who wouldn't with this face!
It won't be long until we find out just what little pup Anouk really is. Stay tuned post-Christmas as we discover her heritage! Until then, go play outside, have a cup of cocoa, and enjoy the wonder of it all. Christmas comes but once a year!
Love,
Shan & Nouka
