Sunday Tea

Hi everyone,

If you think of any time you've ever had tea, you probably remember it with warmth.

It seems as though every culture embraces tea in its own way, but especially as a gathering drink. A "let's share some time" sort of beverage. Black, green, white, herbal, it doesn't discriminate. It evokes reflection.

For my birthday, Levi purchased me this mountainous tea created from Douglas Fir. Picture this, you're walking carefree through a wood of towering firs on a summer day. The sun is peering through the needles, and you catch a waft of the sweet, warm, free scent of the trees above. That is the essence of this tea. It transports me back home for a short while.

We share a pot of this elixir in cast iron tea cups. The set itself is as rugged as the mountain landscape. I think it's pretty appropriate.

So I'll share a quick glimpse into our tea party. It's unceremonious, and it's carefree. Typically in our tiny apartment. Most of the time after eating a large slice of cake. Always on Sunday evenings. I understand tea is typically an afternoon thing, but for us, it's not. And we're not typical. Most souls dread Monday for one reason or another. For us, it's a week of separation. (It used to be much longer not that long ago!) It's a way to turn the page on last week's chapter, and toast the week to come.

Predictability in such an unpredictable world is comforting. It's a sanctuary.

Once Mother Nature graces us with Spring, we plan to pick our own spring tips. I'll be sure to share what we create. In the meantime, if you're looking to experience this tea, Here are the links to what you see here.

Tea

So there you have it. I do say, it's wonderful to have something to look forward to as the week ends. It doesn't have to be tea, it could be anything for that matter. Anything that brings you joy. Because no matter what the week brings, it was started with a happy soul.

Love,

Shannon
