Dance like Cadance

Hi everyone! Lady Frye, your friendly-neighborhood-photographer/doctoral-resident here. Here's hoping you're all enjoying this lovely summer weekend.

I'm so lucky to have people like my photographs and that want future sessions with me. As you might remember, I had the privilege of taking Cadance's dance photos last year as well. This tiny dancer is now in gymnastics, jazz, and hip-hop!

Cady greeted me with a big hug, then it was down to business. She had literally ALL her own pose ideas and places in the park for her photos. Can you say photographer's dream?

Can we just take a minute to look back on last year? Look at how much she's grown!

Alhough she's growing up, Cadance is still a sweet little girl, and capturing her running around this park, playing with dandelion wishes, and climbing trees was really the most appropriate and fun way to capture her. I'm all for letting kids be kids in a session!

Also props to those who chose these adorable outfits this year! The sequins are just fabulous...and that bow!

Did I mention we encountered some raindrops? We certainly made the best of it with some umbrella shots!

And we couldn't forget Mama! These gorgeous ladies made me smile the whole session. It was so fun catching up with them as we walked this stunning little park.

And just like that, Cadance headed off to another dance recital.

Stay tuned soon for another family session coming soon for these guys! I can't wait for to photograph them all together again before a very much anticipated autumn wedding. Until then, I hope Cady has the time of her life up on that stage. You go, girl!
